I Love Homer Logic

Being from Philly it’s the big sin to bet on your home squad. However I like only a point and a half against the Ravens, I also like the over (38.5) the Giants smoked the Ravens and I’m praying the Birds had a fluke against the bengals.
Am I crazy, anyone else liking this bet?
Whether you live in Philly, San Diego, or Las Cruces it is only a sin to bet on the home squad if your proximity to the team is the driving factor behind the wager. Let’s see if that is the case here. Praying doesn’t work in wagering by the way. If it did I would already be a billionaire 30 times over.
but my logic is much more in depth
Lay it on us.
It boils down to the Ravens offense being totally dependant on the run. The eagles will stack the box and force Flacco to throw and the eagle secondary should crush them
Just like they crushed Ryan Fitzpatrick last week? Fitzy was 29/44 for 261 yards, 1 TD, and 0 Ints. Flacco is a dead man walking.
The ravens D is 3rd overall in the league but that is mainly because of how strong they are aginst the run, they are ranked a dismal 29th against the pass. Respectively the Eagles are 4th in the league in passing, logic is Philly’s strength is the Raven’s weakness.
Where the fuck is he getting his stats from?
Remember I am not saying this is a lock, I was asking if anyone else likes this bet. I just could easily see a couple quick scores by the Eagles and the ravens forced to throw to catch up, which could also result in a DTD very easily.
You know what I can easily see? Myself receiving a blow job from Natalie Portman. But it still hasn’t happened yet, and I have no interest in risking money on whether or not it will.
The eagles are ranked 11th in defense against the pass and run, not too bad.
The Eagles are slightly above average on defense. YAY!! What’s funny is that he is probably selling their D a little short here, but please don’t tell him that.
Also the line is a little lower because of how poorly the Eagles just played against the Bengals, I doubt Mcnabb will be throwing that many picks in Baltimore. Also the Giants truly exposed the Ravens and brought them back down to earth by completely dominating them, it wasn’t even close. I think that was more of an indicator, than the fluke the Eagles had last week.
In a few short hours he has gone from praying last week was a fluke to definitively labeling it a fluke. Moving right along.
Philadelphia, 6th, 140.9
Baltimore, 12th, 139.6
Philadelphia, 13th, 139.3
Baltimore, 15th, 138.5
The Eagles power rating was lowered 1.6 points in lieu of last week’s results. Baltimore’s dropped 1.3. Philly was punished a little more harshly* for their Week 11 antics than the Ravens were but not significantly so.
But if you believe, like some other totally objective parties do, that the Eagles performance last week was a total fluke then by all means unload the house on Andy Reid & Co this Sunday.
* – and rightfully so if you ask me.

Giving some thought to Fairy Field at 10:15 AM CST. Have not been able to pull the trigger to this point.
You know what I can easily see? Myself receiving a blow job from Natalie Portman. But it still hasn’t happened yet, and I have no interest in risking money on the fact that it will.
Quite possibly the funniest three sentences in this site’s history.
re: 29th pass D
“Where the fuck is he getting his stats from?”
Based on his analysis, I’m giving him the benefit of the doubt, that he has some type of advanced metric (way over our heads) to extrapolate how good they’ll be with the current injury status of their D-Backs.
Why Las Cruces? Do you have any ties to the city that lies 40 miles to the north of the hell-hole that is El Paso?
Nonsense, praying works. You just have to make sure that God loves you and everyone else on your side more than he loves everyone praying for the exact opposite result.
