The Morning Line

Did you know that you too can lose thousands of dollars over the course of a few days just by following Money Line’s selections at the wrong time? That’s right, You, The Average Joe, can lose thousands.

Stanford went about 10 minutes in the 2nd half without scoring a FG and subsequently got blown out by Texas. That makes six losses in a row. Yeesh.

To top it off both passes hit as Davidson won outright, and Memphis, clearly having learned from UCLA Thursday night, ran up a 30 point halftime lead on Sparty and cruised to victory.

Is there any doubt that I am the streakiest player on the Internet? Where has the middle ground gone? The scary thing about it is that some poor soul probably came to my site on Monday and was so impressed with the Round 2 results that he decided to follow my Sweet 16 plays to a tee. Welcome to The Money Line Journal. I hope you enjoyed your 0-6 start.

All and all my spirits are still pretty high. As always I prefer to take a long term view. If you had offered me 6 units in profit and Kansas as 9 point favorites in the Elite 8 at the outset of the tournament, I would have taken it.

I have a baby lean towards Xavier, and an infant sized one towards Louisville for this evening. I will be back in a couple of hours to let you know what not to play.

I missed all of the last night’s games due to real life, which appeared to be a good thing. All in all, though, Wazzu was the only slam dunk play that we would have unloaded on in the regular season, so I’m not pissy at all. I find it interesting that I will probably be passing the Elite Eight entirely.
