Afternoon Baseball Thursday Edition

5-6 is a lot better then 1-10, and 1-10 was looking pretty likely on more than a few occasions last night.
Giants +162 (1)
Giants/Astros Over 9 +117 (1)
So basically I need the Giants to score a bunch of runs. Yea, that is going to happen. I will be rooting for the Astros offense by the 3rd inning.
Toronto +184 (1)
Litsch is straight from the Carlos Silva school of pitching. Just lob it over the plate and hope they don’t crush it. If you get super lucky for an entire year, you may even land an 8 figure salary.
Padres -102 (1)
Oakland +131 (1)
I probably should be on the Rockies as well, but given the way the last two nights have gone, and this afternoon figures to go, can you really blame me for passing on the opportunity to lose to Dan Haren?

Any thoughts on under 6.5 in the Sheets/Peavy game?
I looked at that too. I am never sure what to do with the total that feature two strong pitchers. Everybody knows Sheets and Peavy are good, so the total should be low.
The Wagerline numbers were predictably strong, but the Sportsbook numbers and the forums did not support them.
The forums are all over the D’backs… maybe the heaviest of any game today it seems. I tried to justify my pass on the Rockies due to Rusch actually pitching well recently (1- i think he cant keep it up, 2- hoping thats what is keeping this line down, not that its a surefire contrarian play).
But EVERYONE seems to have that as one of their “POD’s” along with the “houston and milwalkee trains”, hahah. those are the guys who are up this week as we’re down. sweet.
