Baltimore Ravens To Win AFC North +795 (23.95)
The 2008 AFC North is comprised of three overrated teams and the Ravens. The Steelers, Browns, and Bengals are all overvalued for different reasons and to varying degrees.
Nobody is talking about the Ravens. The fact that they still fetaure one of the NFL’s best defenses is concealed by the Boller-Smith-Flacco 3 way QB derby. How soon people forget that 2005 Chicago Bears won the mediocre NFC north by 2 games with Kyle Orton and his 52% completion rate at the helm.
While the Ravens probably won’t lead the league in the vaunted “Wall Bangers Sold By Starting QB” category, their staunch defense and a revamped offensive scheme should be enough for them to contend in the AFC North.

I agree with that the rest of the division is very overrated but you really think that Baltimores D is still 1 of the NFLs best? I think the defensive unit is pretty old and overrated themselves.
They’re called Fatheads in this country; and I bet Mel Kiper Jr. has a homemade one of Flacco in his bedroom.
Yes I do. So do these guys: http://www.footballoutsiders.com
Injuries last year to McCallister (and to a much lesser extent, Rolle) had them starting guys like Corey Ivy in their secondary – which was a debacle.
Improvement coming and 8-1 is a good shot to win a crapshoot of a division.
Right. It isn’t like I am sitting here thinking that I got the best team in the division or anything, but 8-1 is value.
Value is value.
Yep. Doesn’t matter if you are playing 12 golf out rights in the same tournament, or a long shot to win a division. Gotta have that value.
