Boise St/La Tech Under 56.5 -101 (3) – Winner
Taylor Bennett’s ineptitude finally came in handy.
Utah/Oregon St Under 53 -106 (2) – Loser
This loss wasn’t anything special by 2008 standards, but it was still annoying. After looking like dead money at halftime, I was actually in great shape with about 7:00 to play. But then the Beavers converted a bunch of 3rd downs en route to a TD that made it 28-20, and they got so excited at the prospect of beating a Top 15 team for the 2nd time in 2 weeks that they forgot to play defense on the next possession.
In the blink of an eye the score went from 21-20 to 28-26, and by the time the Utes converted for 2 I had already begun to watch the episode of “It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia” that I had recorded earlier.
Utah St +28.5 +100 (4) – Winner
The most important thing to come from this game wasn’t the 4 units in profit, but rather the discovery of BYU TV.
Iowa St +11.5 -108 (4) – Winner
This was an unnecessarily stressful W.
Purdue +13 +104 (4) – Loser

It will take a virtuoso performance from someone else for Chris Summers to be displaced in my heart and mind as the biggest place kicking fuck face of all time. Purdue got thoroughly out played by Penn St, but I still would have escaped with a push if Summers had simply made that extra point.
Kansas St +7 -111 (4) – Loser
Anyone with common sense who had seen KSU play a game this year could have told you that they have NO defense. Yet what most of these same people fail to grasp is that the odds makers knew about K-State’s bad defense when they set this line. Texas Tech gaining 626 yards did not come as a surprise to me nor did it make me regret this bet one bit.
Michigan -2.5 +101 (4) – Loser
Michigan’s D must have studied some Kansas St film in preparation for this game.
Cal -8.5 +101 (4) – Winner
I guess this was the payback for the Chris Summers fiasco as Lou Groza Award winner Thomas Weber missed a 44 yard FG with under a minute left to preserve the cover.
Virginia +13 -105 (4) – Winner
I elected not to watch this game and was very confused whenever the score would slide across the ESPN ticker. I honestly thought they had it backwards.
Nebraska +10 +100 (4) – Loser
I knew the 4 units were gone forever the moment that Maclin busted loose for the first score of the game.
Hawaii +21 +102 (4) – Winner
It was nice to finally be on the other side of a 6 turnover disaster.

Suggested added feature to these posts: weekly record update (i.e. 1-11 -41.8x).
I’ll do it, but only if you think it will increase the average post rating of my weekly reviews.
